I own an enterprise, partnership, or LPP. Can I convert it to Sdn Bhd?
While ‘switching’ your business entity is not possible as they are of different nature, you can incorporate a new Sdn Bhd and run the business as a new company before terminating the existing enterprise, partnership or LLP.

Can I incorporate a Sdn Bhd in Malaysia without having its director reside in Malaysia?
Unfortunately, no. According to the Companies Act 2016, there must be at least 1 director who ordinarily resides in Malaysia in order to register a Sdn Bhd. This can be yourself or other directors of the business.

I do not have a business address, do I need a business address for my company?
All Malaysian companies must have a local address as the “business address”. We usually provide our office address as your registered address but you will need to have your own business address....

How do I sign documents, such as board resolutions, online?
Most company documents (except CTC documents) can be signed electronically. The documents such as the board resolution will be sent to you for electronic signature through email. Electronic signature is enforceable according to the Electronic Commerce Act 2006.
